The universe of Magic Boy rests on a rope. Or a liana. A long liana that runs through space and nobody knows where it begins or where it ends. But what no one knows best is what holds it. On this rope hangs a disc of flat land, dotted with small islands. It is on one of these islands, which is on this disk, which itself is on the rope that lies the peaceful village of Magic Boy. Peaceful … except for a house. All children avoid going near or far in front of this huge and gloomy home: It is said that a witch lives there …
Magic Boy dreams of becoming a magician and a dream world to which magic could carry him. But magic does not exist in his world, everyone knows it. However, he remains naive and does not think that magic can be misused or have a price …
Chapter 1 : Magic Boy plays with his friends near the witch’s house, while he should review his interrogation for the next day, Cassandra watch them. While playing, they lose their ball on the witch’s field. In order to impress Cassandra, Magic Boy decides to venture over the fence to retrieve their ball. As he finds the ball, his raven is attracted to something else. Magic Boy follows him into a shelter where he discovers a book of true magic. He is then surprised by a silhouette and fled on all legs. On his return, he refuses to trust his friends and decides to keep his discovery for himself … Unfortunately Cassandra realizes his discovery without him realizing.
Chapter 2 : He uses the magic book he discovered to create a talisman and succeed in his interrogation, despite the help offered by his friends to help him revise. Leaving the book from his bag, a flying page comes off the book and falls under his desk. He puts his bag on the sheet. In order to increase the power of the talisman, he uses a very old stone which is very dear to him, the only memory of his unknown childhood. But he will not follow the formula correctly. The incomplete talisman runs for a while and then dangerously infects his wrist. In a hurry, Magic Boy goes to the bathroom and leaves the book unattended. Cassandra hastens to steal it from him. She alone should be able to heal the infection that is eating away at her hand. His friends divide to help him better. Chapter 3 : Magic Boy enters the witch’s house and finds her. The witch offers her a choice: either to risk losing her hand without using magic, or to keep it safe thanks to magic but for a small price. She plays on the weaknesses of the hero, his naivety and his desire to believe in a magical dream world, to make him choose the second option. Magic Boy, naive and eager to believe in the power of magic, chooses the second option. While the witch begins the operation. She then extracts Magic Boy’s wrist talisman by dangerously infecting it with powerful, uncontrollable black magic. The witch then reveals to Magic Boy that she knows her past and asks her to join her. Fritz, then enters the house and tries to attack the witch. He can not, and the witch disappears. The witch reappears in the street where she finds Cassandra. She lies to Cassandra on the course of events. Cassandra remains reserved and decides not to talk to him about the book and leaves.
Chapter 4 : Magic Boy blames Fritz for his infected hand and especially the revelation of his past that he could not know. They argue and Magic Boy ends up hurting his friend with his hand. He then realizes that the infection spreads when he uses the power of his hand. Jay, his raven, is afraid of him and runs away from him. Magic Boy leaves in pursuit of Jay and meets Kurtz on the way, which he avoids. Tired, Magic Boy returns home. He cloisters himself and takes his favorite book of myths. Back home, Magic Boy lifts his bag and finds the flying leaf that had fallen from Mormegil’s book. She speaks of the myth of the guardian of the rope, lying at the top of the rope holding the universe. Indecipherable inscriptions are inscribed in the margin. Magic Boy decides to go to the top of the rope, he has an idea, but he needs help. He decides to apologize for his behavior and to ask for the help of his friends. Cassandra awakes with a start and searches frantically in her business to get out a grappling hook, she goes near the rope. Magic Boy and his friends build a mini flying boat together to climb the rope more easily. Magic Boy then begins to climb the rope and say goodbye to his friends. Cassandra wants to give the bitch back to Magic Boy, but she does not dare. She hides and ends up slipping it into the boat. Magic Boy leaves and a terrible storm bursts as he approaches his goal. He is looking for something to hold the boat or hold on and falls on Cassandra’s grappling hook. The Universe Of Magic Boy
The world is a disk of earth, suspended from a huge rope that crosses the space. No one knows where the rope starts or where it ends, let alone what keeps it going.
On the periphery of the disk abound islands of earth floating in space. Bridges were built to link them to the main continent.
It is on the edge of the disc that is the village of Magic Boy.
From the fifth chapter, we discover what makes the rope hold: Another disc is at the top end and a third disc at the lower end. While the upper world is filled with light and diffuse magic, carrying the rope up, the underworld is filled with heavy and foul magic, pulling the rope down.
The world above is named ‘Zihil’, the middle one -neutral magically – ‘Indir’ and the underneath ‘Khawul’
Crystals exist at Zihil and Khawul. These crystals are extremely concentrated in magic and have incredible power. At Khawul, they are almost venerated. The father of Magic Boy will criticize these crystals, he will be exiled and his son sent to Indir.
When you use the power of crystals and crystals too much, humans sometimes turn into supernatural beings. In Zihil, these creatures hide among humans: Werewolf, vampires and zombies … But in the world above, they are a country in their own right, against which humans try to fight.
The village is on the outskirts of the middle disk ‘Indir’. The further the villages are from the rope, the poorer they are. This is the last village on the edge of the disc. Beyond are only islands attached to the main continent by different bridges.
Despite its position, the village is far from being poor. Indeed
The Tauron hut is at the high end of the rope, where the rope is divided into several other ropes.
It rests on these interludes of lianas. It can be accessed by flying boat.
The hut itself is actually a gigantic flying boat, allowing Tauron to fulfill its function of guardian of the rope.
The lugubrious Mormegil house is on an island near the village of Magic Boy.
His firstname, name and young childhood remain unknown. He actually comes from the world above, his father, having criticized the powers of the crystals, was exiled and his son – Magic Boy – was sent to the middle territory, neutral and devoid of all magic. Everyone calls it ‘Zilfin’ (Swept by the wind, exposed to drafts). However, magic does not exist in his world. He is accompanied by his crow ‘Jay’ and is secretly in love with Cassandra. After the second chapter, his hand is infected with black magic to great power. But each time he uses this power, the infection gains ground … He will have to learn not to rely on the facility but on his real abilities.
After discovering the magic and discovering his true identity, he will proclaim himself ‘Magic Boy’.
